Beers: Serving from five hand pumps you will expect to find beers from our island Brewery – Randalls and a selection from Marston’s, Jennings, Banks’s, Wychwood, Ringwood, Brakspear and Black Sheep. Others make an appearance too!

Ciders: Local ciders from The Rocquette Cider Company, Westons and Thatchers.

Draught Lagers: Breda, Liberation Blonde, Carling, and Staropramen.

Bottled Lagers:  Corona, Budweiser, San Miguel, Peroni and Becks Blue (non-alcoholic)

Stouts: Guinness on draught.

IPA: Wolf Red IPA

Wines/champagne: A selection of wines are on offer by the bottle.  Prosecco, cava or champagne for that special occasion.

 

JUNE BEER TASTING NOTES

Cock and Bull’s Hauteville Fairy – 4.2% ABV Wolverhampton

Refreshing beer brewed especially for us. Glorious rich gooseberry and zesty grapefruit flavours, overlaying a hoppy, sweet malt base. This beer is named after No. 20 Hauteville, the house where Juliette Drouet, mistress and travelling companion to Victor Hugo lived; a few doors up from the Cock and Bull.

Liberation Ale – 4% ABV Jersey 

Award winning golden coloured beer brewed with the finest Maris Otter and lager malts.  Tropical fruit aromas are evident with smooth and zesty grapefruit flavours.  On sale throughout Liberation Day celebrations – 9th May.

Randalls’ Citra Single Hop – 3.8% ABV

A light summer ale with mild citrus flavour brewed in Guernsey.

Banks’s Park Life – 3.9% ABV Wolverhampton

Deep golden beer offering bold zesty refreshment.

Brakspear Oxford Gold – 4% ABV Witney, Oxfordshire

This beer has a remarkable zesty aroma, with a full fruity flavour and golden colour.

Jennings Cumberland – 4% ABV Cumbria

A superb golden coloured ale, brewed with malt made from specially selected Maris Otter barley and using only the finest English aromatic hops.

Jennings Cockerhoop – 4.6% ABV

A quality golden bitter with classic hop flavour and aroma.

Jennings Snecklifter – 5.1% ABV

A highly flavoursome beer with compelling characteristics.  Amber and chocolate malts enhance the complex flavours of this beer.

Ringwood Razorback – 3.8% ABV Hampshire

A delicate easy drinking beer with a delicious malt flavour balance by a tangy, citrus hoppiness.  Perfect for all palates.

Ringwood Boondoggle – 4.2% ABV

Meaning to go on a jolly. Straw coloured ale with a moreish fruit taste.

Ringwood Fortyniner – 4.9% ABV

Pale brown in colour. A malty and fruity aroma leads to a well-balanced taste of malt and hops. Fruity finish.

Ringwood Old Thumper – 5.1% ABV

Fruity aroma with a sweet malty taste, some fruit but a surprisingly bitter aftertaste.

Marston’s Saddle Tank – 3.8% ABV Wolverhampton

Clean, bright and full flavoured. Malty in flavour with a biscuity taste throughout. A balanced everyday beer.

Marston’s 61 Deep – 3.8% ABV

Five American and Australian hops.  Fresh, zesty aroma.  Torpical fruit and citrus notes.

Marston’s Pedigree – 4.5% ABV

Brewed with the legendary Burton water. Palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness.

Shipyard Summer Ale – 4.8% ABV

A traditional American summer beer, with inviting colour and mellow malted wheat flavour.

Wychwood Hobgoblin Gold – 4.2% ABV 

A combination of four hop varieties infused with wheat and malted barley resulting in a perfectly balanced golden beer with a huge hop punch.

Wychwood Hobgoblin – 4.5% ABV

A powerful, full-bodied, copper-red, well balanced brew. Strong in roasted malt with a moderate bitterness and a slight fruity character.
