The Cock and Bull (a former furniture store and restaurant) was founded by Stephen and Michelle Taylor in 1997. They were introduced to the pub trade in 1990 in Bromley, Kent working for Inn Leisure Group. Returning to Guernsey with their knowledge and experience they established their first traditional pub called The Drunken Duck.
Here they introduced the locals to English Real Ales for the first time on the island and developed a reputation for offering excellent quality ales in a friendly and traditional pub environment.
Following their success at The Drunken Duck and a short break, The Cock and Bull (freehouse) was born. Bigger and better, you are guaranteed to have a memorable and satisfying time here with a selection of regularly changing real ales, Still cider in the Summer, lagers, wines by the glass or bottle. Champagne or Prosecco is always on ice. Teas and coffees are also served and a toasted sandwich is available if you are feeling peckish.
The Cock and Bull is popular with the young and old. Every day is a new day, with gossip, stories, music, sport, fun and the occasional drama. Chess and backgammon players can be spotted from time to time. First Monday of the month sees the appearance of a group of artists. Third Monday of the month a Classical Music group entertain.
